SAN FRANCISCO, CA – AUGUST 11, 2016 – Bitfusion, a developer of software virtualization technologies for heterogeneous data-centers, is announcing the immediate availability of four new Bitfusion products that support deep learning, video processing, content rendering, and image processing on Amazon Web Services Marketplace (AWS Marketplace). With these capabilities developers can seamlessly offload compute-intensive applications or tasks from their thin clients, laptops, and mobile devices onto the cloud where these tasks can be done much faster.
Targeted at the build-and-test stage of the mobile project lifecycle, the four Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) published by Bitfusion are: Bitfusion Mobile Deep Learning Service, Bitfusion Mobile Image Manipulation Service, Bitfusion Mobile Rendering Service, and Bitfusion Mobile Video Processing Service. AWS customers can utilize these new AMIs to quickly bring media-rich and computationally complex mobile applications to market with the highest level of performance without the need for complex software and hardware optimizations.
All four new products offer a well-documented Representational State Transfer (REST) interface, simple hourly pricing, and a five-day trial (AWS usage fees apply). They enable developers to quickly and efficiently offload compute intensive tasks to high-performance cloud instances instead of performing these computations directly on mobile devices. The Bitfusion Mobile Deep Learning Service enables developers to quickly deploy and integrate deep learning models on top of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) GPU instances for fast image inference.
Sridhar Kamma, the CEO of Apposphere, an all-in-one cloud-based SaaS business application platform, said,
We are successfully utilizing Bitfusion Mobile Deep Learning Service on AWS to build the next generation artificial intelligence-driven lead generator called Aingine. Aingine connects freelancers, startups, and small businesses directly with leads by using proprietary AI and deep learning technology to scour requests for services and products on social media platforms.”
By offering their products in AWS Marketplace, Bitfusion provides customers with an easier way to quickly procure and deploy their application services on the scalable and secure environment of AWS,” said Barry Russell, General Manager, Global Business Development, AWS Marketplace and Catalog Services, Amazon Web Services, Inc. “Customers can quickly evaluate and deploy Bitfusion software in minutes to off-load compute-intensive deep learning, image manipulation, video processing, and 3D rendering to AWS for media-intensive Mobile App development.
The Bitfusion Mobile Image Manipulation Service and Bitfusion Mobile Video Processing Service AMIs, enable developers to leverage Amazon EC2, central processing unit (CPU) or graphic processing unit (GPU) instances to quickly manipulate image and video files without draining their mobile devices’ battery power or slowing them down to a crawl. The Bitfusion Mobile Rendering Service AMI allows for the remote rendering of complex 3D scenes via a simple REST API.
The Bitfusion products can be deployed by AWS customers on their AWS Cloud infrastructure via 1-Click® directly from AWS Marketplace. Like all Bitfusion AMIs, these images are developed in accordance with Bitfusion’s Application Interception Blueprint and future releases will be able to take advantage for Bitfusion’s proprietary Boost Technology which allows for flexible configuration and scaling of GPU infrastructure to suit the application needs, without requiring any application code changes.
In addition to these new Mobile products, Bitfusion offers many additional products in the AWS Marketplace.
